Tree Felling

Richardson Tree Surgery offer a complete Tree Felling service. From selecting a felling method appropriate to the surroundings of the tree, felling it, and then removing the tree from your location where the wood is either recycled, or taken to nearby farms, carpenters, and lumberyards.

We’re able to remove trees of any size, from smaller garden trees to large trees in gardens or public spaces, provided we have permission to do so.

We’ll leave the area tidy and remove all chippings, twigs, and fallen leaves, though can leave wood behind if required/requested! We have access to all necessary specialist equipment, and have the licences, experience, and insurance required to operate these in a safe, swift, and considerate manner. This includes items such as safety gear, climbing equipment, chainsaws, cherry pickers, and more.

You may require tree felling if your tree has been subject to storm damage, fungal infection, or is too close to a house. Trees too close to homes can cause subsidence, and this is something that we are able to offer advice on.

For trees in tighter spaces, or where there’s a risk of damage to buildings, breakage of glass, or garden ornaments which cannot be moved, please check out our Tree Dismantling service, through which we remove the tree in a slower and more methodical process, piece by piece.

You may also be interested in our Stump Grinding service, in which we remove the stump of your tree to 8 inches below ground level using our own specialist machinery. We’re able to grind stumps of any size, and have extensive experience of doing so.

Richardson Tree Surgery clients regularly tell us that they’d never have known we’d visited, or that the tree had ever been there, with our thorough garden cleaning service removing all traces of our visit.
